This time last year, our house was spotless (thanks to a lot of help from family and friends) and we had no Christmas decorations. We spent the last 16 days at the wonderful River Oaks Hospital. We were preparing right now to spend the night in the NICU with our sweet baby for the first time and then we would bring her home finally on December 27, 2010.
This is Liddy on her very first Christmas! Snug as a bug in a rug. The amazing nurses even decorated her incubator with her little footprint reindeer!
Here is our first family of 3 Christmas.
One year later and a lot has changed! At her one year old check up, she is still small... she weighed in at 17.5 pounds and is in the 3.66 percentile. We are still praising God daily for our healthy happy petite little girl! On December 17th, we drove to the coast to celebrate with the McCormick's! We had a great time and Liddy loved all her presents, especially her little tikes car and the precious fisher price manger scene (this is a must have for children!)from SuSu and Bo! Here are few pics from that day! On Sunday we had a wonderful lunch at Uncle Robert and Aunt Shaunna's and enjoyed visiting with the whole family, Gi-Maw, Paw Paw, Aunt Laureen, and Uncle Larry even rode over!
We came back to Jackson and had a fun filled week of shopping and then SANTA came to see Lydia at her house!!! We decided a few years ago, when introduced to us from a wonderful couple leading our Sunday School class at Galloway UMC, that our children would only be able to pick THREE gifts from Santa. After all, Jesus is the reason for the season and three gifts was good enough for Him, therefore, three gifts is more than enough for our family. Here's a little preview from our Christmas morning (Lydia slept until 8 am!)

Liddy playing outside before Christmas Eve service at KK and Troxy's church. SuSu was also able to come up to join in the fun!!
Santa left her a kids pop art book, one of those peg boards, and a cash register!

Troxy and KK came over to have monkey bread with us and we read our advent devotional. We then rushed to get ready for church and all headed to Galloway! A great day!
After church, we headed to Troxy and KK's to have lunch and more presents! Her favorite ones there were he new keyboard and guitar! She's such a little dancer and LOVES making music! Uncle Bubby and Aunt Abby were there and we all had a blast!
Jack in the box (Or rabbit in the box!)
Merry Christmas y'all!
