Organizing and Garage Sale

This weekend flew by way too fast! Friday I took everything out of the garage to make room for my school stuff. (It's amazing how much stuff you accumulate over 6 years!) and reorganized everything with a small corner for my art projects! I'm super pumped about it, but my legs are still sore! We also decided to join in on the neighborhood garage sale at the last minute. We came up with a few things to put out there and made a little bit of money.  Our biggest item was our bedroom furniture. I've always liked it (got in the 10th grade), but I'm so tired of looking at it and I wanted something new! We've been talking about it for a while, so we splurged and just sold it! I still can't believe it, I kind of wanted to save it for future use, but we have no where to store things. A friend of mine and I spent the whole afternoon Saturday rummaging through flea markets trying to find a piece of furniture for me to fix up. Turns out, I'm pretty picky and/or have good taste! It's going to be a journey picking out new "old" furniture, but I hope to post pictures of the progress soon! Liddy went to spend the night with KK and Troxy Friday night so we could get ready and then Saturday we went to eat with some friends and let the babies play. We must have worn Lydia out because she feel asleep fast Saturday and did not wake until 8:45 the next morning! So we took it easy and rested on Sunday. Such fun time at home with Liddy!
I neglected my camera all weekend, thankfully I have some iphone pics:

Friday morning when I opened the door to take her out at daycare, this is how I find little  girl all relaxed and having some cheerios! Life doesn't get much better than that.

Carrying "Little Bit" around and giving him kisses.

Artwork, bubbles, and playtime in the bathtub.

Her very own picnic table the BHS Ag department gave to us! Thank you!
Some of our favorite things she does now are:
• pointing to her nose, eyes, ears, mouth, belly button, hands, feet, toes and saying them. Our absolute favorite is her "nose" sound, it's so cute!!
• she gives us hugs and kisses, it's just precious.
• her silly dances, she's got moves.
• how seriously she will watch her favorite tv show, bubble guppies, or the Mickey Mouse Club.

Lydia, we absolutely love and adore you!!

Mother's Day 2012

Happy Mother's Day to everyone! Even, if you're not a mom or if your mom is no longer here with us, you can still celebrate those "mom" figures in your life..... we all have them!

Here is my first Mother's Day, last year in Oxford.

2011

And here is this year.... my how time flies!

2012

I had an amazing Mother's Day! It started with an hour massage on Saturday! (It was really a Christmas present, but I guess now it became multipurpose). It was amazing, and I'm still feeling relaxed. SuSu came to visit. She and Alan took Lyds to a birthday party that morning, she had a blast! Saturday afternoon Liddy and I took a nap while they ran errands. Saturday was a rainy day, so we just stayed in and cooked. Sunday morning Alan and I went to early church/Sunday School and came home to start cooking. We had KK, Troxy, SuSu, Bubby, and Abby over for a Mother's Day lunch. It was a great time and Alan out did himself with the burgers on the grill!

My favorite part was when Mom (finally finished it, a year later!) gave Abby her quilt made out of all of Baker's stuff. It is so precious and I think she did a great job! She had it wrapped up in a pretty box, and when Abbs opened, everyone went.... "Oooohhhhhhh, Aaaaaawwwwwww." So Liddy decided she needed to say it also! She kept touching the blanket and opening the box and saying, "Ohhhhhh!" So precious, but watch out world.... she repeats everything you say these days!!!

We were trying to explain there's a baby in there, but she was more interested in the flowers on her shirt.

Three little Lander girls..... that's what Troxy says!
She loved having SuSu here!

Ohhhhhhhhhh

Little Coast Girl

We LOVE going to the coast. It is always so fun, relaxing, and of course we get to hang out with family the whole time!!! We started the weekend out with gumbo at SuSu and Bo's. Lydia got to play with Robert and Shaunna and in the yard with the neighbor's dog. She really couldn't be any happier! She is just so easy going. ---- Oh yeah, and I put her hair in a ponytail just to show it off to everyone! Fun times!

Chasing the dogs!

She's thinking.... Really, This ponytail and bow?!

Oh, she LOVES the piano!

Sweet little hands.

Aunt Shaunna is helping.

Saturday, we headed to Gautier to see Aunt Laureen, Uncle Larry, GiMaw and Paw Paw. We went to GiMaw's house first.... she is pretty much homebound now--- it was great to finally see her. They are Lydia's only great grandparents left, so time with them is really special to us all. Lydia spotted a little stuffed Daschund puppy (GiMaw always had Daschund's and collected them), of course Lyds loved the little doggie, and GiMaw gave it to her. She carries it around everywhere saying dog. I have always thought of them as my grandparents too, they are the sweetest, most special people you'll ever meet. They have both given their lives to the Lord and raised the best children and grandchildren. If you have time, please say prayers for her and those who are working daily to take care of her. It was very sad to see her in those conditions, however, it is bitter sweet for Lydia to get to see her and play around her house.

Next on the stop was Paw Paw! He's in a rehab center since he broke his hip. He's so funny, he kept saying, "I'm fine, I don't know why I'm in here!" He's doing well, just working on walking and getting around. He loved playing with Lydia and after she warmed up, she loved playing with him too!

Watching golf at Paw Paw's.

She kept saying, "Ball!"

She was obsessed with how the air conditioner (a window unit)  would blow right on her.... just like the movie stars!

Paw Paw!

Thinking about sharing her goldfish???

There was a divider that we kept playing with.... she finally figured out that we were on the other side.

SuSu..... On a side note, it is so cute when Lydia says SuSu and Bo, just precious!

Kisses for Paw Paw.

I love Paw Paw's face here..... he's such a sweet, sweet man.
Saturday night we had a Cinco de Mayo party at Robert and Shaunna's and, of course, Lydia was the star of the show! She missed her Bubble Guppies show, everytime she saw a TV, she'd say Bubble!!!
So we turned on the big screen to dance! She loved it and tired her self out big time!

Watching the derby! She was rooting for "Daddy nose best" ... ha!

Conway... she loves saying dog and barking, but when it comes to actually playing with them, she was not so sure!

Dancing!

This is how she felt about little Elvis..... sorry Lyds!

Is it weird that she bounces like this most of the time when she's watching tv?

Everybody just watching cartoons and Lyds dance.... so I guess she's kind of spoiled!

Night night! Thanks for all the fun times SuSu, Bo, Aunt Shaunna and Uncle Robert! (she surprisingly said Robert very clear one time, the R and all!!)
