My first visit to the Dentist, my first school party, and a carnival!

We have been busy this week and it's only Tuesday! Sunday night, my parent's and Bubby's church had their fall carnival, so we rushed after nap time over there in our costume and it was over! We played for a minute and then we went to Uncle Bubby's to see Baylor in his outfit since we missed him at the carnival. I was going to be cheap frugal and put Lydia in her halloween costume from last year, since it still fits, but Stacie gave us this awesome bunny costume, so we are a bunny now! Lydia is not too fond of it though. She says it's itchy, but it's nice and warm, which is good because the 'Sip is having a cold spurt right now.

Monday morning, we had our very first dentist appointment (just a little late, but she was ok.) We got up early to get there on time to fill out the mile long paper work! Alan was even able to make his way over from work to see the milestone and help. She loved the office, the waiting room, the toys and even the toothbrush..... just not so much the checkup. It was all of about 30 seconds for us to lay her on the table, the dentist to look and feel around and brush something on her teeth. But she pretty much screamed for about a minute. We loved the people there and Dr. Wren was great! I guess we will see them every 6 months from now on!

Today was Lydia's first class party, they had a harvest party for the fall. I'm not sure if the kids knew what was going on, but they didn't care, because they had goodies, snacks and cupcakes! The teacher took them to the playground around 10:30 and the mom's came in to decorate and set the table for them. So when they came in from playing, there was candy, food, and mom's! They just sat down and dug in! And made a very BIG mess! Each child was in charge of bringing something different, so it really was pretty easy. Lydia had juice and chips, and since 2 year olds would just squeeze a juice box all over them, I got those disposable cups and wrote each child's name on them. I hope they liked them.

We got to up to Oxford early again for the Auburn weekend! We love taking off early, AP had to work up there on Wednesday, so Troxy, Liddy, and I drove up Thursday after Liddy's school. We had the best time walking around the square, playing at the park (she loves Avent Park!) and got to eat Boure.... yummy! Liddy was very well behaved and we had a great time. We ran into an old friend, Abby and her son, Thomas. So we made plans to meet up the next day.

Friday was fun filled... the two boys had a Business School Alumni meeting of some sort (aren't they just two peas in a pod?!), so we hung around the house all morning and waited on Troxy to come pick us up! We had a great breakfast at BBB, and headed to the library to meet Thomas for Toddler Time.

Lyds kept saying, "Mrs. June" every time I said library, so I think she was upset that we weren't at our library. She had a great time, singing, dancing and making me chase her around! The Ox library time is not a closed room like ours where they can run wild..... and while all the other kids were nicely sitting, I chased her around. So we cut out early and headed to the pumpkins/Square for pictures and fun! After lunch, we picked up AP from the Ford Center and went home for nap time. KK was there shortly after that and we got ready for the parade and dinner! We sat at some new little bar just off the square, and we were the only ones in there, so Lyds was loving it! She danced, pushed her stroller around, yelled out the window to everyone walking past. Most of the time it was HOT TODDY! but sometimes she was polite and gave a hey or a hi. It was a busy night, but we got to see the Ross's, Payne's/Neely's, and lots of other friends, so it was worth it! The parade was a little weak, but the basketball team playing on the square afterwards was cool and we ended the night at South Depot Taco Shop where Liddy was a hit again!

Saturday we all got up early for the 11:30 kickoff. We played in the grove and Liddy went to the game for the whole 1st quarter! She loved it, and had a blast! She was dancing, yelling rebels, and enjoying herself. But I knew she wouldn't make it long without a nap, so we left after the 1st quarter and headed back for a nap. She woke up shortly after the game was over so I quickly swooped her up and put her back in the car to head back to the grove. We played for a little while longer and then Troxy and KK took her to the park/home. And we got home, they were able to go out and we stayed in and ordered pizza with her!

That night, we had our FIRST toenail painting session.... it was a little rough, but she kept saying, "pink!"

Not a good picture, bc it was a quick one while running out of the door. But I wanted to document the John Vaught photo with Alan and the signature. He has a great story about calling Coach up one afternoon in college and asking if they could come visit and the coach was so nice and let them take pictures and everything!! Fun and good memento from crazy college days.
