NOLA baby - Spring break 2012

This past week has gone by WAY too fast! I was off for spring break, so Lyds and I got some special time together! We began the week off by meeting Bo in Slidell after school on Friday so he could take Lydia home with him. Many thanks for cutting an hour or so off of the trip, because we were able to make it to NOLA just in time to see the Rebs tip off at the New Orleans Arena for the SEC tournament. The Rebs could hear me yelling I guess because we beat TN that first night (no fruit sucks like a big orange - sorry Uncle Rob)! It was a blast! We cheered on Ole Miss with our friends Bailey and John Kirkland and then enjoyed a nice evening at Arnaud's and then a little classic NOLA for us, Pat O's! We love the piano bar and letting Helga take our picture!

Saturday didn't go so well for the Rebs, Vandy took us down in the tournament, but we made it further than expected, so Hotty Toddy! AND if you can't win the game, you might-as-well hang out with the all-star players themselves on Bourbon..... maybe I freaked out (just a little bit)....

We took it easy most of the trip and ate A LOT of good food, John was sad on Sunday when Vandy took down KY (who has only lost one other game that season!), but he toughed it out for us Ole Miss grads and we were still able to have a good time! Also, KY fans called it "Blue Orleans" that weekend, and they were right, I've never seen so much blue all in one place... some were crazier than others, but they love their CATS.

Monday finally came and we had to say good bye to NOLA and our friends :( But that meant we were able to go pick up Liddy!!! I missed her so much! But it was nice getaway! Thanks to everyone who made our trip possible! Liddy loved her trip to SuSu and Bo's for the weekend!
