Happy Birthday Lydia!

Lydia, your 2nd birthday was filled with excitement! We planned your party for December 15th at home.... nothing fancy, just milk and cookies with your friends..... but when Paw Paw passed away on the 12th, we headed south with the cookie cake and did a mini party at Aunt Laureen's on Saturday! You were with the whole family one way or another, and you took cupcakes to school on the Tuesday after the 10th, so I figured you were excited to just have that! We still celebrated your birth in a major way, just not with a big party! 

This is Lyds at Braxton and Ken Ken's party on the 8th. It was a cute farm theme and there were even real farm animals there! (Hence lydia playing in the playhouse, you didn't want anything to do with those animals up close!)

On the 10th, we got up and headed to the library to see Mrs. June! We had a blast and you played and played! For lunch, Troxy, KK, and Bubby came over bearing gifts and you had a ball!e

You got some juice and milk for your baby.

A carriage, that you now push EVERYTHING around in all day long!

And of course (since you're Troxy's 2nd little girl) he had to get fancy on you and find the "best" present..... a tablet for kids. I'm still trying to figure out how to work it! But it looks like fun!

He was more excited than you were, but you will love it soon!

Troxy's been wanting to go to Crechales one last time before the move from their original location on Hwy 80 in W Jackson (A staple in the city for sure!) So of course we picked someone's birthday to hear the iconic song and jukebox! Happy Birthday Lydia... Hail, Hail, the Gang's all here!

We made it to Susu's and Bo's and you could hardly wait in the morning to open the presents!

When we went to pick up the birthday cake, they said they made a mistake and gave us the XL instead of the regular size.... cookie cake for days!

I was proud I found red and blue cups to match the invitation AND they had lids to help the 2 year olds with milk!

We collected over 50 books for the children of Batson Hospital in memory of Baker! It breaks my heart to think that some of those kids don't have a Christmas or prizes after they receive treatments!

I'd say you have the best yearly collection for a 2 year old (and a bunch of people that love you!!!!) Massena Baccarat Crystal  from SuSu and Bo, Wolf bird from KK and Troxy, Pewter Mint Julep cups from Uncle Robert and Aunt Shaunna, and McCarty Pottery from Mom and Dad. Keep this up and by the time you're 18, we are going to have to get you a storage shed in the back! We love you!!!
