A few of my favorite things

Just an update on our little girl.....

27 months old!

• you still love:
• reading, coloring, painting, your baby doll, baby's stroller, singing, dancing
• Your sentences are getting longer everyday! The other night when Alan and I were leaving for dinner you said, "Bye, Bye Mommy, Bye, Bye Daddy, y'all have a good time."
• You will tell anyone that listens that your favorite color is PINK!!!
• We found a new TV show, Daniel Tiger. And now you like to give "Eskimo kisses" and say Ugga Mugga, because that's what Daniel Tiger does.
• Sometimes you crawl in the chair yourself and say "rock, rock" but the other day I tried to sit beside you or put you on my lap in the chair (like I always do) and you said, "No, mama, just Liddy rock, rock." OUCH, it stung a little, but you're growing up so fast!
• You still run around singing Happy Birthday to Daddy, although his birthday was a month ago. You try to stack your food on your plate high like a candle and pretend blow it out.
• Alan and I went to Kentucky to visit with some special friends, and of course we had to FaceTime with you while there. But you were more interested in seeing "baby Jackson" than us! It was cute though, you love him from so far away. When we met SuSu to pick you up, you hugged me and said, "But where's baby Jackson?"
• When Alan pulled the Easter decorations out of the attic, you immediately looked at two of the bunnies and pointed to the girl and said, "that's the mama," and then pointed to the boy and said, "that's the daddy," then you said "Where's the baby?" So we had to go find one to name baby.
• You are working on learning your name, on the good days you say, "My name is Lydia Cormick." (We are working on the Mc part!) But sometimes you say, "Kimsey Cormick." You know that's my name, but you still say it's yours. And since Kimsey was a maiden name in your family, I guess you're not completely telling a fib, right?!
• You love to shout "roar!" and you associate that with dinosaurs from our library time, but now when you say "ROAR!" then you squat down and say, "The baby dinosaur says 'roar, roar'" in a little high pitched ton. Super cute!
• One Saturday recently we had our sunglasses on in the car, but AP forgot his, and you politely took yours off and said, "Here daddy, you want mine?"
• Sometimes AP makes up silly names for us (actually all the time) We get missy, beans, little, etc.... the other day he called me beans, and you started yelling, "But I'm beans too, Daddy!!" I think you got your feelings hurt that I got your "pet" name. Not to worry little one, you can have beans!

We went to see baby Jackson while you stayed at SuSu's

And AP got to go to Rupp for the first time, of course sporting his Ole Miss gear!

It was too cold to play outside one day, so we went to play at KK's office.

The ladies at church let us glaze some pottery! Of course you picked pink and a teddy bear!

Bad selfie pic, but we got out again for a party down the street, fun times!

You tried to sleep past 4:30 one day for nap time, and we had to wake you. It's oh so sad, but super cute!!

Must be documented, that the doctors at UMC are just curing people of aids! This is such a medical breakthrough in Mississippi!
